Huntly – Flood Warning Survey – Wed 21 July
20 Jul, 2010
The Macaulay Land Use Research Insitute has been commissioned by the Scottish Government to do research that will improve flood risk planning and responses to flood warnings. The survey being carried out in Huntly is part of a larger European research project called ‘URFlood’ aimed at providing guidance on good practice in flood communication.
The Scottish Flood Forum with its expertise working with communities dealing with or ‘at risk’ from flooding is playing an integral part in helping Macauley survey residents in Huntly. A summary of the findings will be distributed in October.
The survey, depending on timing may well run on to Thursday 22 July.
