The Scottish Flood Forum will be carrying out free flood protection surveys in Langholm on Friday morning. In the afternoon Paul Hendy will be attending a Water Rescue Stakeholders Group meeting at the Scottish Government offices in Edinburgh.

The Scottish Flood Forum will be in Stonehaven on Tuesday 10 August. Paul Hendy will be in the Stonehaven Flood Recovery Centre during the afternoon of Tuesday 10 August following a meeting in Edinburgh at noon. Paul Hendy of the Scottish Flood Forum will be attending a Water Rescue Stakeholders meeting at the Scottish Government in Edinburgh on Monday 12 July from 11am till 3.30pm. Paul will be returning to Dumfries in the afternoon to support and provide members of the public with information on flood related issues.

This Holyrood Conference was held at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh on 16th June 2009, where it brought together professionals to discuss and understand the ongoing legislation regarding the Flood Risk Management (Scotland ) Bill. It also looked at what challenges lay ahead in terms of implementing the new legislation.

The Scottish Flood Forum was invited to membership of the Edinburgh Business Protection Policy Group. This group is a proactive network from the business community who regularly come together to discuss risks and threats to businesses from a variety of sources. It is run under the auspices of the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce.
